When developing new products with customers, we will provide customers with advice based on our experience and expertise to ensure that our final products can meet the customer's use requirements. Recently, we helped an engineering design company develop a gear set.
Target Cost
The customer only had a preliminary draft of the drawing, only marked with dimensions, but no tolerance. Hence, our professional designers helped the customer improve the graphic, marked with patience, and developed a detailed material formula scheme for the customer's reference according to our performance prediction of the use scenario. After our quotation, the customer said he needed to pay more attention to the product manufacturing and had no requirements for the product materials and performance. Hence, our quotation was higher than his target price. However, our engineers found during the test that the gear set made of materials that met the customer's target price could not meet the customer's use requirements. After communicating with the customer, the customer still chose to reduce costs.
Sample Testing
However, in the spirit of being responsible for the customer and ensuring that the product can meet the customer's use requirements, we made two samples, one is the material sample we predicted, and the other is the material sample that meets the customer's target cost. We sent the two pieces to the customer for testing. After the customer tested, he told us that the sample that met his target price had broken during the Shipping test. The material sample we selected successfully passed all tests. The final customer chose the materials we predicted and increased the order quantity.
We (Dewin) will try our best to meet the target needs of customers. At the same time, we will unswervingly and responsibly put forward our suggestions in the professional field because our ultimate goal is to satisfy customers, ensure that products can be used, and create value for customers.
